Powergrid Limited offer thorough test and inspection services to ensure the safety and compliance of your electrical systems. We can carry out a just visual inspection, or a full inspection and test for landlords or housebuyers.

Diagnosis and Repair

We are here to help when things go wrong. Our electrician is skilled in diagnosing and repairing faults and making safe in an emergency. We provide emergency callout services and DIY rescue services and have been doing so for major insurance company customers as well as our private clients for twenty years.

Service Description

If your DIY job is falling into this category, don't worry, our DIY rescue service is the one to use. Sometimes you start a job which should be simple and it all goes pants on you. Don't worry it can happen to anybody. So if you think you've drilled through a cable, mixed up the wires on a lighting circuit, had an escape of water, got your sockets wet when stripping wallpaper.. or just feel a bit out of your depth or out of time - don't take risks with electricity, we can help you get back on track. The price is for a callout, evenings/weekends included, within three hours, and one hour of diagnostic/repair work. Please bear in mind if you tell us exactly what you think went wrong - even if it is a bit embarrassing - it will probably save us time and you money in the long run. And we promise not to gloat or tut. We aren't perfect either.

Cancellation Policy

The price of an emergency callout includes £40 surcharge for attendance within three hours, which is not returnable once you have booked, as we will already have rescheduled other jobs. Once you have booked online we will call you to confirm our expected arrival time. If we attend later than three hours for any reason we will return the £40 surcharge. If you cancel before we attend but within three hours we will retain the £40 and refund £89.
